I have to say mine is probably Skyrim, or maybe even GTA; I'd personally class it as an RPG myself.

@les it's a role playing game, you can essentially make your character 'your own', if you will and play the game exactly how you want with no set story.

Oh I see - But you would need some understanding I guess of what the game is to make it work? (I came into the world before even Space Invaders was created - Whole new world of game playing now it seams.... )

, RPG as Jack said is Role Playing Game, in example I will talk about Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, is a RPG game that allows players to select from a variety of different characters, each character having their own special abilities, and not only stopping there, you can customize your character farther, as well as giving your character a name, making the game feel more personal, you are able to follow the main quest-line or branch off and do side quests for either gold or material, depending on the the quest.

Firstly, Skyrim takes my vote by far. Just because of how open-world, open-story and customisable the game is. It's no wonder why it's arguably the most popular single-player RPG out there.

@greyhoundlover - RPG, as Gregory has explained, stands for Role Playing Game. I'll not go too far into that as I feel that he has summed it up quite perfectly, although, I feel the need to add "MMORPG", even though it isn't too relevant to this specific thread.
An "MMORPG" stands for "Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game", which is, quite simply, the same as an RPG, but online and playing with other people.

This is my status. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.

It was very kind of you all to explain what RPG means. I have seen them advertised on Pro-boards Support but my mind does tend to slow down when abbreviated words are used. I am probably the only person on this planet that never really got into text messaging either lol!
