Hey everyone,
My name is Brian and I have undiagnosed OCD.
So, what does this mean? Well, although I haven't actually gone to a psychiatrist to get a diagnosis on it, I definitely know that I have it. But before I get into it, let's very briefly discuss what OCD actually is.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
MedlinePlus' definition of OCD is:
My Experience
I remember when my friend came over to my old house, I had 2 chairs in my downstairs room which we'd use when we were playing FIFA or something else on the Xbox 360. But, every single time that we'd enter the room, before either of us sat down, I had to check that they were EXACTLY in-line with the wall and weren't even an inch at the wrong angle. Plus, I always had to sit on the chair next to the wall because I just had to.
Another thing, which might just be my biggest OCD habit, is that I just NEED to do is if I do something left, I need to do it right, right then left again.Don't ask why, I don't have a clue, I just need to do it. But it really depends on what kind of day it is, how I'm feeling and how focused I am on the urge to do it, but the longer I think about it, the longer I need to do it.
For example, right now, when I was writing the words "EXACTLY" and "NEED", did you notice how I used italics on "EXACTLY" but not "NEED"? And how they were in bold, but I still decided to put them in caps anyway? And the italic on exactly even though it was already in both bold font and caps. If I hadn't done that, it would have driven me insane.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
MedlinePlus' definition of OCD is:
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), and behaviors that drive them to do something over and over (compulsions). Often the person carries out the behaviors [sic] to get rid of the obsessive thoughts.
